Eddie Bauer Expedition: Freshfields - Part 1-3

The Freshfields are one of the largest glacial systems in Western Canada and sit below a crown jewel selection of jagged 10,000 to 11,000-foot peaks. Last spring, Eddie Bauer splitboarders Scott Newsome, Chris Coulter and Wyatt Caldwell linked up with ACMG guide Trevor Gavura to tick off a mountaineering mission in this remote zone.
Heli-dropping in close Crown Land proximity to the zone, the team set up glacial base camp on the Alberta/BC border of the National Park then waited out a massive spring storm.
When the weather finally cracked blue, the team ticked day-after-day of trophy descents by skintrack access in this Great Canadian Divide region of towering summits and massive icefields. Expedition Freshfields is the three-part, extended cut story of their trip of a lifetime in this zone.
